@erikas From my personal experience hormone imbalance is when the reproductive system is not on 100% with estrogen, progestin, and if pregnant HCG. When diets, exercise, meditation, and previously things the body has done for 30 in most women. We loose theses hormones when we are older its hard to make the right choices so the body will imbalance the strength (hormones) leaving a woman half and its affects so much of our day to day I recently had a burnout and imbalance again this is time in another state so I must have be pushing as I did in my hometown in 2003 burnout but now since I am on Progestin I go take the test again Wednesday to prevent that its deadly.

@27angel

Women often either have forgotten or never knew that we have testosterone receptors as well as estrogen receptors. A hormone balance is important!!!

I'm 75, uterus removed at age 34. I took Premarin for decades, stopped that 20 yrs ago due to negative studies. I haven't had serious symptoms, but some sleep deprivation, hypothyroid (on levo.) and some prolapse & rectocele, which made me start searching for answers. (At my age, surgery is dicey at best, so avoiding that.) I tried estradiol cream and progesterone cream (OTC from Parlor-Games), along with magnesium cream on feet at night and noticed better sleep. Then I discovered Wild Yam Cream! I stopped the estr/prog.creams and switched to Wild Yam Cream, a tiny smear daily. Voila! Even my prolapse issue is not as severe; I wasn't expecting that.
