How do you deal with hygiene issues when he thinks he did it already?
Does anyone have suggestions for how to get your MCI loved one to shower, brush teeth, etc., when he thinks he did it already?

@virginianaeve one complaint my hubby has is that, as the water hits the skin (even on the most gentle of levels), it causes pain and discomfort. It was a nerve ending issue for him. I use pre-soaped cloths, and do a chair bath outside of the shower. He is more willing to do this than shower.

4 Reactions@mel761, such a helpful tip. Thank you.
May I ask how long you have been caregiving for you husband? How are you doing?
I have been doing caregiving, and the duties/time has increased with the changes/advancement, for about 3 years. In general, doing well. Some days are rougher than others, but I have a great support system that can provide help, when needed.
