Every evening cold like symptoms for years.

Mystery - As far back as 2018 I've had chills in late afternoon and feel like I have a cold. I wrap up in a blanket and take a couple of tylenol. The next day symptoms are gone till late afternoon. I told my husband it feels like my body is harboring an infection. In 2019 I was dx'd with lung infections and bronchiectasis. I felt this was the cause of my symptoms. I've been under constant treatment for these problems but my other symptoms continued as before. Recently had a UTI that turned into septic shock. Had an ICU stay and IV antibiotics. Still my late afternoon symptoms return. Anyone have a clue? I did not know which support group to put this question in so if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

Have you taken your temperature ? Are they low grade fevers ? When I get like that it is usually around 3 pm. Low grade fevers at first like 99.5. A headache too. Lots of drainage down my throat. Then usually after a week the temp goes up 101 to 102. Chest xray usually finds an infection in my lungs. Specifically my right middle lobe where my bronchiectisis is. Then I have to start levavquin.

Have you taken your temperature ? Are they low grade fevers ? When I get like that it is usually around 3 pm. Low grade fevers at first like 99.5. A headache too. Lots of drainage down my throat. Then usually after a week the temp goes up 101 to 102. Chest xray usually finds an infection in my lungs. Specifically my right middle lobe where my bronchiectisis is. Then I have to start levavquin. Forgot to mention my resting heart rate goes up too. Sometimes more difficult to breathe, but not always. Do not ignore these symptoms.

@ssk999 I don't have a fever. I just feel like I should because I get so chilled. I don't usually have a headache or drainage down my throat. My infections are ongoing--bronchiectasis and colonized pseudomonas. My X-rays are clear. I have lots of reactions to oral antibiotics. When I get in trouble I have to get IV antibiotics. Thanks for your response.

have your blood glucose levels checked. Make sure you aren't hypoglycemic. Go take a lab at the time of day when you have the problem or buy a stick meter test device for $20 on amazon and check at home. When my blood glucose was out of control, I'd get cold and also have bladder issues.

@loriesco - Thanks for the response. I do have a blood glucose checker but have not used it during these times--we had it when my mom was with us. I do have hypoglycemia tendencies. It was recommended I eat at regular times, etc. What bladder issues do you experience?
