Hello, I’m new here, I was recommended to join and interact with others who are in a similar situation as myself, I don’t go out much due to chronic pain and I feel isolated, anyone else feel the same?

I can relate. I'm only up 1-3 hours each day. I pray for death. I've been coping with this for 48 years. Unless you deal with pain, most people can not relate (especially Doctors who believe we're all addicts. Wait until it happens to them. My Doctor is now looking at an SCS for me. Wants me off meds. The saga continues.

I withdrew from most of my social interaction when I developed RA and was miserable until the Enbrel kicked in. But as the years have gone by (18) and things inevitably deteriorated, with multiple biologics working sometimes and often not well enough, I gave up trying to act like a normal healthy person. My feet and ankles were so bad I walk like a toddler and often need a cane. I can't use Nsaids so I'm stuck with tylenol and tramadol. Neither provides enough pain relief to spend a day out functioning like a "normal" person. I go to acupuncture and PT. I have a lot of other health issues now as well. 4 autoimmune disorders, non curable, damage irreversible. You just do the best you can and try to carry on. Be honest with your doctors and ask for help. Most of them fully understand just how bad things can get. Good luck

Life sure is hard.
You say that most doctors fully understand....I am glad you have found it that way.
In my experience, it is the complete opposite .... most have no clue of how hard it is.

Not that confined, but it sucks not being able to do the things that you want to do when you are out.

@snu Over the last 4 years I have had Covid twice and 2 other viruses. Each brought a fever of about 102 at the highest. During the fever days, my peripheral neuropathy symptoms were gone. Each time I had a fever, no neuropathy!!!! The 3rd and 4th time I was ready for the fever and the neuropathy pains leaving. I have mentioned this to several doctors, and they have a puzzled look. Of course, when my fever broke, neuropathy pains returned. You would think doctors would try to determine what stops the neuropathy pains. They could care less. The fake solution industry is making billions with no cures. Why rock the boat?

@ellece An SCS has not been a solution for me. Doesn't work as advertised, in fact sometimes it enhances the pain.

OMG
I am so sorry. I assume you were vaccinated and are suffering a vaccine
injury.
You are absolutely correct about the fake solution industry . Just follow
the money.
I wish that I could take away your pain and cure you. Voices like yours are
being squashed/suppressed in the media. 😡

@snu I know people who had all the dangerous covid vaccinations and have had serious medical conditions. Some died. Nevertheless, we all know the fake solution industry are making billions and yes the media is controlled too. Thanks for your kind words.

@ellece I understand as I have been dealing with it for 15 years and 15 back surgeries. I was on a large amount of opiates for ten years but then got a pain pump and now am off the high does. The pump changed my life, though I still can get significant pain, I am much better than before. I do take 2-4mg of Dilaudid a day along with my pump but that is max as my pain doc will not give me more nor do I want more. My pump has a mixture of Dilaudid, Baclofen and Bupivacaine in it, and my dosage is0.95mg Dilaudid/day 90mcg of Baclofen and 0.95mg of Bupivacaine. My pain doc is a microdosing believer, no more than 1mg Dilaudid/day, so I am near his max on that as well. Have you looked into a pain pump?
