I can relate. I'm only up 1-3 hours each day. I pray for death. I've been coping with this for 48 years. Unless you deal with pain, most people can not relate (especially Doctors who believe we're all addicts. Wait until it happens to them. My Doctor is now looking at an SCS for me. Wants me off meds. The saga continues.

@ellece An SCS has not been a solution for me. Doesn't work as advertised, in fact sometimes it enhances the pain.

@ellece I understand as I have been dealing with it for 15 years and 15 back surgeries. I was on a large amount of opiates for ten years but then got a pain pump and now am off the high does. The pump changed my life, though I still can get significant pain, I am much better than before. I do take 2-4mg of Dilaudid a day along with my pump but that is max as my pain doc will not give me more nor do I want more. My pump has a mixture of Dilaudid, Baclofen and Bupivacaine in it, and my dosage is0.95mg Dilaudid/day 90mcg of Baclofen and 0.95mg of Bupivacaine. My pain doc is a microdosing believer, no more than 1mg Dilaudid/day, so I am near his max on that as well. Have you looked into a pain pump?
