Chronic dry cough triggered by cold and late-night hours
Subject: Chronic dry cough triggered by cold and late-night hours (Looking for advice)
I am writing to seek your medical advice regarding a persistent cough I have been experiencing. Here are the details of my condition:
* Patient Profile: 18-year-old Male, Height: 5'7", Weight: around 90-100 lbs.
* Duration: I have had this cough for about 3 months now.
* Type of Cough: It is a dry cough (no phlegm/mucus).
* Pattern: It is not continuous. It comes and goes depending on certain triggers.
* Main Triggers: It severely triggers on cold or rainy days, after taking a long bath, or late at night. Specifically, when I stay up gaming, it usually starts flaring up between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
* Associated Symptoms: I have not noticed any wheezing sounds, chest tightness, shortness of breath, or fever.
Due to the current situation and limitations in my area, I am unable to visit a physical clinic or see a doctor in person right now.
Could you please advise me on what type of cough or underlying condition this might be? Also, what over-the-counter (OTC) medications or home remedies would you recommend to manage this?
Thank you so much for your time and help.

@bhone11 That is a tough situation to face without medical advice. Sorry to say we are not medical professionals here, and cannot offer any diagnostic advice.
What is preventing you from seeking medical care?
Hiya. I'm a 70 year old gamer myself(RPGs).
Dry cough. OTC. What I use as a Asthmatic.
1. Cepacol extra strength cough drops. For cough control.
2. Dry mouth. Biotene Lozenges.
Eliminate your triggers. And get an allergy test when you can.
