Reading - Kindle / Paperbacks?
I apologize if this has been asked. My husband is going for his first Lequembi infusion this week. He wanted a book to read to pass the time (the first infusion is the longest, I’m told…due to slow infusion speed, and monitoring afterward) - approximately 5 hours.
He has not used his Kindle in awhile, so struggles with that, and used to also read on the iPad/Kindle app. Now he can’t seem to find how to order books for either. I’m suggesting he go back to paperbacks.
Anyone have similar experiences?

@carolreid this makes so much sense! I shall check out the library! I know I should use it more than I do, and I’m sure ours also has an app. Appreciate this! And yes, if my husband has read them before, he would also not remember. Thank you!

2 ReactionsThis is not for books, but as far as engagement, I want to share something I found. I’ve been using Kanopy - an app available from some libraries. It has so many good films, shows and documentaries. It’s been a lifesaver lately for my elderly mother with dementia- especially the cat documentary “Kedi”!
It’s only available from some libraries so you can call your branch to ask.
I also love Libby.
The best part is that these offerings are free!
I got rid of Netflix to save money, and I’m finding far more interesting options on the Kanopy app.
Just thought it might be helpful to someone.
Sending supportive and positive energy to you.

3 Reactions@gratia Hello, and thank you for this! I confess we do not make good use of our library. My husband can’t walk well from where we would have to park. This sounds very interesting, however! I will look into it with our local library. Thank you very much! Best wishes!

1 Reaction@2me You’re so very welcome. I hope your library offers Kanopy and if not, you can request they add it. I think Hoopla -also via libraries, offers similar, but not such a wide array of content.
I wish you strength and peace. It’s a rough journey but you are not alone. ❤️🤗

1 Reaction@gratia Gratia, again I thank you. I’m so grateful I found this site. For the longest while, I just lurked, and read helpful comments from people. I’m glad I am now feeling comfortable enough to write.
I hope my tech skills (hah!) are good enough to get us going with those library apps! If not, the librarian will help, I’m sure. Take good care of yourself!🌷
