Has anyone had Stage 1 Her2+ breast cancer and not done the recommended treatment of chemo and the targeted drug after a mastectomy?

@health77 my daughter is 30 and was just diagnosed with invasive breast cancer cancer. With.ER+PR-HER2+
She does not want chemo. She hasn’t had any children yet. Did your doctor recommend chemo? She is just desperately trying to find somewhere that would do a chemo, free treatment and hopefully be effective.

@sbrown96, there are various fertility preservation options that may be available for your daughter before she undergoes cancer treatment. You might find this article helpful:

Different cancer treatments can affect fertility, not just chemotherapy. She should talk to her oncologist and a fertility specialist as soon as possible. A fertility specialist can help her understand her options, answer questions and serve as her fertility advocate during treatment.

How is she doing? What treatment has been suggested for her?

I had HER2 (stage2) breast cancer. I followed all of the recommendations. I was given Paclitaxol and phesgo prior to my mastectomy and a year of herceptin and perjeta after. I faired quite well during treatment and i am 3 years post treatment with no issues

@jlwilcox i did but the question was about the chemo treatment. Possibly my situation is different than others. I had a mastectomy following the paclitaxol and radiation following the surgery because there was cancer in the tissues removed. Then the follow up with kadcyla and targeted therapy. I was told that i wouldn't have had radiation if no cancer was not found in the removed breast tissue
