Histamine Intolorance
Has anyone who has developed histamine intolerance from long COVID used any of the DAO or Histamine Blockers? Also is anyone taking Probiotics? Would appreciate any info on worked for you.

I believe I have Histamine Intolerance which started right after having Covid. I am just going to try DAO supplements and Probiotics. I am very interested in if anyone else has found anything that works. My intolerance shows up as headaches. If I stick to low Histamine foods, I don't get headaches. I have also limited Gluten in my diet, which also seems to make headaches more frequent.
I have the exact same experience. I am just trying Probiotics and DAO supplements. Too early to tell if they will help. I also have a new symptom, low platelets. I used to donate platelets up until last year, now I have about 50%-70% of the lower limit of recommended platelets level

Yes, and here a couple of things that helped me.
--H2 antihistamines, the most common is famotidine, aka Pepcid. Here's the clinical trial that kicked it off: https://www.cshl.edu/famotidine-clinical-trial-shows-covid-19-symptom-reduction/. Note that Claritin and other seasonal anithistamines are H1, and probably will not help. I know you might balk, thinking famotidine is an anti-acid, but it works as an H2 antihistamine!
--Probiotics, try a high quality one like Garden of Life. also, PREbiotics like acacia fiber, huge benefit for me. I encourage you to check funtional medicine doctor Leo Galland MD's piece on Long Covid for other specific probiotics, diet and supplements. A healthy biome can benefit most long covid symptoms. You can search in it for specific symptoms, but please read the beginning to get a real understand of covid and long covid.
--Note that probiotics and prebiotics should be taken on an EMPTY STOMACH BEFORE A MEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise stomach acid in digestion will kill the good bugs!

I just started using a GLP-1 and it has significantly tamped down my MCAS symptoms. I take a Claritan every morning. The symptoms I have struggled with post covid are extreme fatigue after I eat, bloodshot eyes, extreme bloat and sensitive teeth. There is a long list of additional symptoms and I have been able to isolate a few major food sources that bring on a "flare" but nothing had helped until I tried Wegovy. I had to ask for it because all my tests are "normal" and believe me I have had dozens of tests and exams, too many to name. I kept reading and have been working with an RD for 2+ years.. believe it or not, my son in law who is a veterinarian told me a GLP-1 might be the answer to my problems because of it's anti-inflammatory effects. I wanted it because all of this has come with a side of weight gain which I seem to have zero ability to control. That had never been a problem for me until now. Anyway the lowest dose of Wegovy eliminated all my MCAS symptoms. At least the first 5 days of the first week. Now I'm in my 2nd week and a few issues have come back (pelvic pain from hell) but I'm not fatigued and my teeth don't hurt!
