Anyone have long term recovery?
I was positive for Covid for the first time in November 2020. It's been a rollercoaster ride and I believe I'm as well as I've been since then. I am not where I want to be, however and not where I thought I'd be after going to the Mayo. I wish I could even talk to a nurse or my doctor, but I was told I'd have to start at the beginning at the Mayo. So I have an appointment in May with a rheumatologist here at home. Hopefully, something will come of that. Has anyone had close to a full recovery?

Thank you. I play a lot of word games etc. too. I like one called 7 Little Words which is challenging right now but you really have to rely on your memory. Good luck to you as well. It helps to talk about it with other experiencing the same.

3 Reactions@nitaharris sometimes I think the same thing. I can walk but just barely and only with the help of a walker. It went from being active Outdoor person to now I have to not stay within reach of my walker. So I’d say it’s hard to say what’s gonna happen in the feature, but Covid was a son of a gun. It’s hard to stay positive isn’t it?

3 ReactionsAnyone heard of these helping:
Apparently nicotine patches can help. But side effects like heart rate increase etc are not good..
Also spike detox supplements.
Since covid I have a heavy neck, under chin condition and it is debilitating.

I ditto your comments.
In 2026, I am in year 6 of LC. On Federal Disability (SSDI), mainly because of severe LC brain fog, and dizziness/imbalance. Though greatly improved, am still struggling with all of my "bag-o-symptoms". Each day is random on which will be prominent. I use the same helps you both mention. Life remains greatly altered. The best things in life for me are my faithful, loving, present Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who carries my heart; an understanding, supportive husband, gracious friends and family.
I hope life continues to bring blessings to you, despite these debilitating health trials.

3 ReactionsFrom what I have read and heard, there doesn't seem to be any permanent recovery. We just have to learn to live with our dehabitations. (arg)

3 Reactions@julieilic I could not tolerate adhesive on the patches, but nicotine gum has helped me. However, I am not currently taking it, since I'm adjusting to elevation change due to a cross country move.
