GLP1: Anyone experience hair loss.thinning?
I have been on the Wegovy pill since February and have just started to notice some hair loss. I am already on an oral dose of Minoxidil. I don't know if I should quit the Wegovy to save my hair or if I quit it will continue to thin anyway. Has anyone had/have any advise on treatment for the hair loss?

I have been on triziptide since October and notice hair loss, it started about Jan. Looking for ideas on what people have done to help.
My hair colorist just pointed out I'm losing clumps of hair (small, not huge) in a way she's not seen in my hair before and which is related to my GLP-1. She said she recognizes it, cause half her salon's clients are on GLP-1s. Hair loss is indeed pretty frightening as a woman.
I am also losing hair. My GP just says it is age related. Anyone seeing a specialist or have any suggestions? I started Ozempic for diabetes over a year ago. Thank you
@ertle
It is possible that, because you eat less while taking GLP-1 drugs, your body may miss out on the protein, vitamins, and other nutrients needed to promote hair growth. It can also happen to people after bariatric surgery. It has happened to me.
Cleveland Clinic has a podcast on the subject

1 ReactionI was very sick during the 4 months I was on Ozempic. I lost 40 pounds. The nausea was horrible. I have emetophobia so that made it all the more difficult. But I kept taking it out of sheer desperation. When I started to lose my hair that was where I drew the line. My lack of eating caused such a deficiency of nutrients that my hair was falling out. So here I am 1 year later, my hair has grown back but I regained my 40 pounds plus 10. ☹️ I don’t know what to do. I do not have diabetes but I am obese. I’m fairly certain I am insulin resistant although I have not been formally told that by a doctor. I am considering bariatric surgery but am terrified since I have emetophobia. Any suggestions? Would you recommend it?

I was not familiar with Emetophobia (Fear of Vomiting), so I had to look it up. I can understand your reluctance to anything that might make you nauseated or vomit.
Do you talk to your provider about other GLP-1s that might have fewer side effects?
