Switching from metoprolol to nebivolol

I am 3 months post-ablation for AVNRT (SVT). I am now on 25 mg/day metoprolol succinate, reduced from 50 mg pre-ablation. My cardiologist wants me to stay on a low dose of a beta blocker for a while longer just to be sure the SVT doesn't return. She is switching me to 5 mg/day of nebivolol because metoprolol fights with albuterol (which I take for a bit of bronchiectasis) and makes the albuterol less effective. Turns out the nebivolol also doesn't cause the energy levels drop that metoprolol does for me (hooray!). Anybody on this forum have experience with nebivolol?

@deniseheart What changes did you notice after you switched to the nebivolol?

Best of the bunch, been taking for 4 years, keeps my blood pressure down, no side effects and keeps me in sinus rhythm.take low dose at nite only, had a stroke and 3 ablations, but doing good with the help of the nebivolol.

@csjmjj97 Thanks for responding. Is there a reason why you take it at night only?

I have just started Metoprolol, a month, and am getting severe pain in my upper right leg. Deep inside. Not warm to the touch but depends how I move my leg. Going to infusion center for weekly fluids, will also ask them about the pain.

@osgilian tried to stop all beta blockers after last ablation, still had pvc,so we experimented, had a great Dr,didn’t want to take during the day, cause it might slow me down
Nite time was best controls bp andpvcs, and didn’t disturb my sleep,so far so good, the fact that it is a vasodilator also seems to help the heart rather then work against it.

@deniseheart metoprolol put me in the bed. I had no energy.
