Found a really good website for Pulmonary Rehab Exercises that can be done from home and just wanted to share it. https://www.respiratorytherapyzone.com/pulmonary-rehab-exercises/

I very thankful I found Nutranize Zone which is a pharmacist-designed supplement system formulated to replenish nutrients depleted by prednisone and help reduce its side effects. I’ve been using for 6 months and I believe it’s made a big difference for me.

It can also be purchased on Amazon.

@ravenup very thankful for your suggestion. However, all my stats except for vitamin D are normal. May I suggest having your vitamin D checked . It’s the one vitamin that prednisone effects me!! The test has to be ordered and it’s a single test not included in any other blood test. Good luck!!

Prednisone was like a wonder drug for me. I was hospitalized for the first time with pneumonia COPD etc for a week. When I returned home when the predisone was ended after 2 0r 3 days I felt like I was back sliding. My lungs would feel like there was glue in them. I'd beg and pleaded for more explaining to my pulmonologists that was the only thing working for me. But after being tapered off for the 4th? time- NO MORE prednisone.
Side effects were explained etc. Also I put on 20 lbs. I'm not thrilled about that.
So this "new" treatment has been subscribed for me called Ohtuvayre. I hope it helps!! It will bee delivered to my house. Not through the regular pharmacy. The steroid in this med is not systemic.
Keep you posted - If it ever arrives....

Hi, I appreciate your responding and found the name Raven is also my soul name.
As for Vitamin D I can have it checked but I doubt that’s the issue. I’m on oxygen 24/7 and 5 years ago I only had 31% lung capacity so my labs are definitely not normal.
I still am not giving up and am now spending some time at the gym, even though it not much, it’s getting me off my comfortable chair, which is the killer!

PLEASE read all the postings on the lungs, not just lung exercises, about the prescription of Ohtuvayre. It made my condition worse, and it’s never gone back to level I was at.
Same is repeated by most of the postings on Ohtuvayre

That's not good news. I'm looking for it to arrive. It's touted as an helpful drug for COPD.
I am or I was looking forward to it as a big help.
I'll run it by my pulmonologist.

Hello Raven

Since 50% of the entire population of the world has insufficient vitamin D what makes you think yours is normal. Get it checked as low vitamin D can cause serious health issues. Good luck!!
