My husband also. He is waiting list for Mayo Clinic movement neurologist (Parkinson). But did just get appt there for long COVID clinic. Can’t get in until October though. This is horrible. He did stop taking the nicotine patch and’s that helped a lot for the spasms but brain fog and a couple other Parkinsonism symptoms are still present. Hoping that is not was is diagnosed. Keep us posted on what you find.

1 ReactionCan I ask did they stat out as small movements and are getting bigger? Do they only involve one part of your body or your whole body. I ask bc 33 yrs ago I got Lyme disease and started getting these small movements. At first it was thought to be an allergic reaction to antibiotic. Ultimately the spasm involved my whole body and was rhythmic. It was also preceded by a tingle in my back. I could speak to you during it but I could not stop it. I went to many neurologists and movement doctors without satisfaction. The only thing that helped was Valium low dose. I still suffer with them. I’ve had Covid 6 times and have been diagnosed with long Covid. Thankfully this has not caused an unusual increase in my uncontrolled movements. I sincerely hope that you are able to get to the bottom of your problem and are able to get treatment for it.

4 ReactionsBereese, this is a very good question for me. I have been getting this in my right hand for a couple months, now also in my left hand.
Jack
I noticed my hands starting jerk when I crochet... sometimes my body jerks around kind of like restless legs spasms. I read that it is similar to parkinsons which is why I have questions. I'm sorry you're having issues as well.
Bless you.

1 ReactionI have been where you are and I’m sorry you’re suffering. I’ve had Long Covid for almost 4 years now and some of my symptoms, like those jerky motions and tremors are now gone. I had 7 Stellate Ganglion Block Injections performed over a period of time and one by one, they helped with my body tremors/jerkiness. They are injections of Lidocaine into your parasympathetic nerves that are located in your neck. They are given using a guided ultrasound as to be certain to get the injection into the nerve bundles. As I’ve said, I had 7 and the 7th one took my tremors away. I live in the Chicago area and had mine done at Northwestern Chicago’s Pain Management Clinic. I know how awful you’re feeling and hope that you look into having this done. Good luck!
