I have a Bullet & Oster too. Mine are almost like brand new. I made my Mom a milkshake in the Oster and a friend uses them occasionally.
I don't like all those wicked gadgets in the kitchen.
She uses lots of spinach. I asked her to include some orange juice to help the absorption of the iron in spinach and no dairy. Calcium binds to iron and it is excreted.
My iron increased from 11, 12 13 to well over 15 when I stopped using milk on my cereal and used orange juice instead.
Enjoy your smoothies,
Jake

@jakedduck1 I don’t like many wicked gadgets either. I have done away with many and kept the ones I use the most that makes cooking easier on me. A Bullet is quick and easy to whip up nutritious smoothies for yourself. I agree certain foods should be grouped together for better nutrient absorption. Vitamin C does help you to absorb iron. Milk made a huge impact with your iron levels. I was never a big fan of dairy milk or cheese. As a kid I drank or ate dairy foods to please my parents. Just be careful with the carb count in foods. Don’t want you to become a diabetic. After all cookies will not be the same without real sugar and wheat flour for you to enjoy. Toni

After I posted my enthusiasm about using a Bullet to make Smoothies with raw vegetables and fruits, my medical team advised me against it for now, due to my ongoing investigation into Crohns/ulcerative colitis and inflammation alerts on my lab tests.
Duh. Don't know why that never occurred to me, since I can't tolerate raw food at all right now. Duh again!
Lol. Oh well, under all this manure, there must be a PONY somewhere!

I read that when your pain symptoms decrease or go away as they did in my case and was replaced by numbness that the Neurophy is getting worse and more nerve fibers die. Do you know if that is true?
Did you have all the various pain symptoms at one time?
Take care,
Jake

I am learning how this site works, so I don't know if that was a question to everyone or just another person. Irregardless, My pain has become habitual. It shows up in the evening and gives me wake up calls all night. I take most the medicine at night so I don't usually wake for more than a minute but there it is. I've had it since 2007 and the daytime pain is much less. I hope yours takes the disappearing route. I have increasing numbness and I was told it will probably continue like that. Probably is the operative word there isn't it? Well, take care

My numbness started on the bottom of my feet and has progressed up to my waist. Numbness is worse in my feet and gets better the higher up it goes.
You take care of yourself,
Jake

I was concerned about Diabetes, cholesterol & blood pressure so I lost 90 pounds. Weighed 227 and went down to 134 but gained a few pounds. Everyone thought I was sick or we're asking if I had cancer. However, I ate candy or some type of goodies every day. I bought me a 5 pound Hershey chocolate bar to celebrate with when I reached my 90 pound goal. I thought for sure I’d eat it but I still have it. Of course I have more than enough candy cookies pies pastries and junk spread around so no emergency. Someone just sent me a box of fudge today for my birthday and it sure is GOOD!!!
Take care,
Jake

You make me jealous, being able to eat all those cookies, candies and google when I'm stuck with a Diabetic diet! 😆

How happy can a birthday be when we get old but you probably don't think I'm old (68)
Sorry to hear you have diabetes. My cousin has diabetes too and whenever he comes to visit I eat what he eats unless he’s having fish then I’ll have chicken.
Take good care of yourself,
Jake

You're not old at 68, you're just a KID! Old is 85, and that's me. But I'm young at heart and that's what counts. 🙂
