A physics perspective of heart disease

Posted by vaniag @vaniag, Jun 4 8:25am

Right now, I am in the process of being diagnosed with coronary microvascular disease. It started with a CAC of 960 7 years ago, A NSTEMI, 2 stents in the RCA, and angina ever since. I finally found a cardiologist that is willing to look at me as a zebra in a sea of horses. To anyone else in the same situation…digital hugs 🤗.
I saw this interesting video last night that reflects the physics of the heart. Fun and intriguing. Kind of helps with the “why me” thoughts that come and go.

We will never completely know why we experience these things, but trying is half of the fun of the journey.

Sending some Feynman hugs!🤗

vaniag, I'm happy you found a cardiologist willing to recognize you as a zebra.
I found this video interesting on it own, but I think it is one of those Fenyman Fakes spreading on youtube. It isn't that I'm even capable of finding the information faulty. It looks accurate from all I've read elsewhere of the thin cap and unstable vs stable plaque.
Fenyman never made videos and never lectured on cardiac flow. Without regard Fenyman, I enjoyed the sketching and the flow of information. And I find it fun to try and figure these things out. It may be the only fun in this journey. Thanks for posting it.

@gently I ran the transcript through Claude AI. The references are good and information follows from the references. It may not be the real Feynman…it is the Feynman Way. So not a fake, in honor of Feynman applying psychics to life.
Glad you found it entertaining…I found it to be a step above the usual simplistic plumbing explanation of heart disease using fluid dynamics.

Genuine hugs from Dr. Vania
