@lacy2 If I wake up in the night, it's usually to pee (1X maybe 2X)
I use c-pap (If I sleep all night without waking, that's great)
When I don't use c-pap, I wake up 3X or more!
I was diagnosed in a sleep lab eight years ago, now trying to upgrade my c-pap machine after the (Phillips) recall, I've had two at home sleep tests, with two different doctors. Both at home sleep tests say I do not have sleep apnea!
I am still trying to find answers

I am 70, female.
I will wake up at night about 20% of the time. There are two or three reasons:

1. I forgot to stop fluid intake at 6pm or 2) it is too warm in the bedroom; my good sleep temp is 69-70 degrees; 3) It is a full moon.

I was interested in Inspire back in the early days when I was first given a sleep study at the local hospital here.
The cpap machine was difficult for me to sleep with at first, but after a year I was beginning to get used to it. Later I decided to test a bipap machine (different pressures for exhale and inhale) and proved to my sleep doctor that my numbers were better.

Then I heard about the Inspire method. I was excited to get one until I learned of the pros and cons. Long story short, I was not happy with the idea of having a surgically implanted device in my chest. Inspire works by detecting lack of breath and then activating the hypoglossal nerve that moves your tongue. It pushes your tongue forward so it’s out of your airway when you breathe.

But the main thing is that to be eligible one must have moderate to severe apnea with an AHI of 15 or above (which is the moderate to severe range). So you must first have a sleep study done to test your AHI.

So I wish you luck in your endeavors.
PS: I also found a Somnogram device (a mouth piece that holds the tongue forward) that I use on occasions when the power goes off) that works for me fairly well.

@magicwoo I was dx with sleep apnea at least 8 years ago, maybe 10. Nothing has changed except I am now on medicare. I had paid for my machine on dix. I went thru same insurance and was texted twice....a whole different way of testing now. Both times they said I no longer have sleep apnea. I needed to get the new dx so medicare would help pay for my equipment. The first time, they had me take a machine home. The 2nd and 3rd time they had me take some monster that clips on my finger to wear overnight.
