@eelatt01 And just like that, you have joined!
What concerns do you have, how can I be off assistance?

1 ReactionFrequent appointments with your nephrologist, eating a kidney friendly diet only! Walking for exercise and maybe light weights. Drinking water.
It’s not the easiest but it gets easier with time and it’s absolutely essential for your wellness

2 Reactions@eelatt01 Mayo Clinic Connect is an online forum. The beauty of this, is it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! We have members from all around the globe.
As you sort through discussions within a support group, no doubt you're going to find something you want to comment on, or reply to. Click on the "reply" icon and a "comment" window will open. You can then type in what you want to say. Click on the "reply" icon to the lower right of your comment, and it will be posted to the group.

I think you are asking what groups are available and how to join... You are already a subscriber on this group and are allowed access to the other public groups as well... For a comprehensive list just go to the top of your browser window and select the link for "Support Groups" and BOOM, lots and lots of links pop up...

1 Reaction@eelatt01 Welcome, Ed!
If you haven't already, please take a look at the discussion threads that talk about kidney diets. That is a very powerful thing we have in our arsenal to help us. The big things are watching our sodium, sugar, calcium, phosphorous, potassium intakes. No NSAIDs like aspirin or alleve. Tylenol okay. Modify your red meat intake. Moderate exercise and good sleep.
Often we can point to a few things that might have contributed to declining kidney function. The top culprits are diabetes and high blood pressure. Others include medication side effects, genetics, or lifestyle. Has your medical team been able to talk to you about the cause of the decline?
