mowing the lawn? Afraid of water? Coughing too hard? its all new
This is all a new "adventure" which I'm trying to take in stride but so many questions every day (and really no help from pulmonologist)
Here's a few for now:
AS far as I know so far I don't have MAC -- BUT also don't know the cause of my lung damage. (I only know I don't have Tiberculosis or Leprosy! ) Do all or most of you know the cause of your Bronchiectasis?
I cough so hard to get the mucus out after nebulizing. Is that Bad?
Is it dangerous to mow the lawn as I always have?
Do I need to be afraid of my water? I filter cold faucet water first in a Brita and then transfer that to a Lifestraw pitcher so its filtered twice.
If you care to answer any one of these, Thank you!

Have you been shown how to huff cough to clear the mucus? A regular cough is not the best thing to do to clear the mucus from the lungs and trachea. If you don't know how to huff cough place those words in the search box and see if something comes up.

Reducing Exposure to Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (Reducing-Exposure-to-Nontuberculous-Mycobacteria.pdf)
Re mowing the lawn - or anything outdoors that could bring up dirt/dust/pollen - wear a mask! A KN95 should do it.
@bronchiectasaurus I will add that there are vented N95 masks that make inhaling/exhaling during exertion or in hot/humid weather easier. I cannot mow/weed whip or other heavy exerting in the plain N95 mask, but these work for me.
Here is what we use:
