Why do I have “fibromyalgia “?
Ive read and heard many times that fibromyalgia is caused by brain overreacting to pain, why do I have this problem with my brain? Has research gone beyond this question? Is it being researched at all? Lifestyle? Born with it? Physical or emotional trauma?

LDN is healing to the immune system; maybe read up on it and see what you think?
I think you might find these LDN guides helpful and insightful to read. They explain how LDN is healing to the immune system, which incidentally was destroyed for many with the covid vaccine and/or covid itself. I have learned much from the LDN Research Trust sight which has helped me in talking with my doctor's about it and it is helping me in multiple ways.

1 Reaction@bealillie I felt a better response to LDN when I asked doctor if we could go higher and am currently taking 6mg. I also changed to taking it in the morning instead of night and am sleeping better. I saw on this group someone taking half dose in morning and half at night, which I was going to try also.

Hey there! I am on 4.5. I seem to have a high drug tolerance so in all my meds I end up taking the highest dosage. Unfortunately only one medication does not usually help all symptoms. So I look at it as this helps 40%, and the LDN helps 15% etc. so I just think of it as anything that helps a good percentage, to try.
@luvpets15 You have to take LDN for more than a month. It took me a couple months to taper up from a low starting dose to the 4.5mg/day maintenance dose. Then it can take 1-2 months to notice improvement. I slowly improved over a 6-month time period.

1 Reaction@leoandbear yes! LDN is not a miracle cure. However I am no longer taking Cymbalta or gabapentin, that I didn’t realize were affecting me in regards to their side effects. The hip, upper thigh side pain that was the worse and difficult to explain (not bone, not muscular, skin, maybe nerve?), was it sharp, dull ache (?) drove me crazy and was relentless, is gone. I do have lower back pain only and treat with mostly heating pad, at worse I’ll add Biofreeze or ibuprofen but not often. My mood and energy are much better!
