Why do I have “fibromyalgia “?
Ive read and heard many times that fibromyalgia is caused by brain overreacting to pain, why do I have this problem with my brain? Has research gone beyond this question? Is it being researched at all? Lifestyle? Born with it? Physical or emotional trauma?

@jeannesf1 I could not take it at night because I've had sleep issues for years and am prone to awful nightmares due to 30 years of mental and psychological abuse in my marriage.

1 ReactionThank you SO much to all who replied. Since I'm on an extremely limited income, I can't afford to pay $100+ a month for something that might not work. I am taking ultramicronized PEA (after a recommendation on this site), which seems to be helping. It's only $30/month through Amazon.

1 Reaction@jayandminnie LDN stands for Low-Dose Naltrexone. Here is an article about it. There are many more articles on-line and also in this support group. https://www.drugs.com/medical-answers/low-dose-naltrexone-ldn-3570335/
If you have any more questions, I would be happy to answer them. I've been taking it for a year for my fibromyalgia and related severe insomnia and it has been a tremendous help to me.
