Best time of day to take Camzyos? Best with food or on empty stomach?

Just getting ready to start Camzyos and wonder if there is a best time of day to take it. Am already on Diltiazem & Metoprolol and assume I should not take Camzyos at the same time. Anyone have feedback on whether it's best oon empty stomach or with food??

Hi @graciechi and welcome to the Camzyos world. I hope you have the same fantastic results that I have had with this (relatively) new med. It's been a real game changer for me. I also am on Diltiazem, but not Metoprolol. I was not advised of any conflcit in terms of taking them together. In fact, I was advised to take Camzyos at bedtime in case there were any lightheadedness or dizziness side effects (which I did not have), and I was also advised to take my Diltiazem at night. I've been on that routine for a couple years now without any problem. According to the Camzyos website (https://www.camzyos.com/taking-camzyos/once-daily-dosing) you can take it with or without food.

But as I have said on this forum before, I have ZERO medical expertise so please check with the pharmacist who is supplying your Camzyos. If you are on the REMS program and have a nurse case manager, he/she can help you with that too.

I have been on Camzyos for a year now (since May 2025) and it has worked really well for me. My obstruction was gone in a few months (I started on 5mg and was increased to 10mg) and I started feeling better.
I take my Camzyos along with my beta blocker in the morning as I had more problems with sob and palpitation during the day and this really works for me. However I have started eating something before taking the pill as I’ve noticed a slight stomach upset if I didn’t and for me it’s better to take it with food. Eat some breakfast, take the pill and start the day. I hope this helps and that everything works out great for you!

Hi, there! Wishing you the best…don’t be afraid. I started Camzyos in Oct 2025…5mg in the morning. It made me dizzy so the cardio switched it to bedtime. Hardly ever dizzy…it dissipated immediately. I also take metoprolol am and pm when I take my Camzyos. Usually at about 10 pm with a little snack…cup of tea and half of a toasted bagel. Based on my last echo I am now on 2.5 mg Camzyos. Feeling blessed. 🥹
