Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?

Posted by bigjohnscho @bigjohnscho, Jul 1, 2025

I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

My husband has TERRIBLE neuropathy on the back of his thighs. We couldn't make social plans because he couldn't sit anywhere but on very soft leather, and even then it was terrible. Once a week or so he'd apologize for waking me but we had to change the sheet. The wrinkles were too painful.
CBD gave him his life back. He has a medical marijuana card and gets CBD capsules from Trulieve. It's remarkable.

I have my mm card and use Dr Solomon creams but they don't help with the leg burning. Which capsules does your husband find helpful?

My doctor perscribed Baclofen and that has really tamped down the burning in my legs.

One pain doc prescribed Baclofen a couple years ago for nerve pain, but I couldn't tolerate it and Pregabalin at the same time. I suppose it's possible to adjust to it over time, but I wasn't up to the task of finding out back then. Made me extra tired which I didn't need.

@bajjerfan I take the baclofen in the morning, as it kept me awake at night. I take the Pregablin in the night before bed as it makes me drowsy. Only one. If I take two as perscribed I feel strange almost all day.

The PreGabalin relieves diabetic neuropathic pain on the left side of my chest and got rid of a lot of itching that would take over my whole body and got worse as the day and evening wore on. The tightness and numbness in my lower legs and feet seems to also get worse as the day wears on.

Yes. Take plenty of vitamin B12 in the form called METHYLCOBALAMIN.
B12 makes nerves insulation .
