Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?
I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

Scotch, 2 bottles of Scotch works just great. Make sure you have a timer on your TV, because you won’t be able to shut it off. HIC!!!!!!
Alcohol use disorder can cause alcohol-related neuropathy. Unhealthy dietary choices made by people with alcohol use disorder, also known as alcoholism, and poor absorption of vitamins can lead to low amounts of essential vitamins in the body.

1 ReactionMy feet feel sunburnt when I set down. When I lay down they're on fire. Pregabalin helps but I started at 100mg in August and am at 300mg now. Does anyone know any treatment?
@cit10jetjockey, I can understand frustration with lack of effective treatments for idiopathic (unknown cause) peripheral neuropathy and the comment, likely said in jest, about grabbing a couple of bottles of scotch.
I'm sure you're aware that alcohol use can also cause neuropathy. Read more from Mayo Clinic https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/peripheral-neuropathy/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20352067
Therefore, even in jest, suggesting to reach for alcohol comment will be removed from the forum. Thanks for understanding.

1 ReactionIdiopathic Peripheral Neuropathy. If you have it, the first thing you need to know is that it affects individuals in so many different ways and there are so many different ways to treat it.
Before reading all the ideas and suggestions of what works and what doesn't do your research before falling down into the rabbit hole of all the false claims to throw your money away! Information online from Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy (foundationforpn.org), Neuropathy Commons (neuropathycommons.org) etc. Once you have become your own best advocate you can cruise through the various support groups with an educated and open mind!
Good luck!

3 Reactions@mikead63 - You are so right, so many rabbit holes to fall down into if you believe some of the false hope being advertised. In addition to the great list you provided for doing your research, I just ran across a new one this morning - Calgary Neuropathy Association which seems to be the Canadian equivalent of the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy - https://calgaryneuropathy.com/cna-100-things-neuropathy-relief/.
