New here, 1.5 weeks post op Lobectomy….
Hello everyone and Thank you all for being here.
I was diagnosed with NSCLC, Stage 1b due to size.
Surgeon removed tumor along with RML.
Lymph nodes all benign, I am so grateful.
I will learn soon of treatment.
I’m hanging in there despite the expected pain,
Some difficulties with sleep as I see is common.
I’m walking, walking and walking some more, that really helps !
I don’t have any questions as of yet, hoping to help others if I can.
🙂

You’re welcome, glad to help.
I thought of something else, I use a cool humidifier in the winter to counteract dry air, and now I’m finding it helpful with the coughing that I’ve experienced post surgery.

3 ReactionsNo, not yet. I need to look up what those are… it’s so much education between diagnosis and treatment. @mamajite

1 Reaction@easmith it can be overwhelming but we're here to help! biomarker testing looks at the genes of your cancer to see if there is a "targeted" drug that is a match. I expect they will test your tumor after surgery, but it is definitely something to ask your oncologist/surgeon if they will be doing. here's a link with more info from the American Lung Association.
