I was diagnosed with conrod dyst. Should I pay for DNA testing?

I have conrod dystrophy and macular holes OU. I have money. Should I pay for the DNA testing so I can get a prognosis. I am willing to spend the money if it will help my retina specialists atCEI, OSHU with a prognosis. I am seventy.Is it too late for me?
