Has anyone had herniated disc treatment with the DRX9000 decompression
I have a herniated disc (L3 left side) and had laparoscopic surgery in 1999 with good results until 2005 when it herniated again. The MRI showed scar tissue along with the herniation and I was advised that surgery would be risky due to scar tissue and nerve tissue looking similar to a surgeon and resulting in accidental nerve damage. I read about the DRX9000 spinal decompression treatment and decided to have treatments. I had 27 half-hour treatments over 2 months' time and the pain is completely gone. Today, March 2025, no return of pain. I hope this helps somebody else with severe debilitating pain.

Hoping that here you can chat with @artcantell @swamplady @willgranger1127 and others, who may have some insights on the safety of this therapy with your osteoporosis, how it impacts the liquid cushion between the discs and whether it fixes things permanently.

I had a semi-hmmilaminectomy (sp?) done in 1988, I think it was. Here it is 38 years later and I’m still walking around with very little pain, but do have neuropathy. I had a nerve conduction test done a couple of months ago and do have some nerve damage in that leg which causes my left foot to “foot-drop” when I walk. It’s not a problem, but is noticeable to me.
I have used a tilt-table since the mid-90’s to pull out the vertabrae and help with overall back health. That seems to have helped a lot. Ten minutes at night works. Incline of 45*. No need to hang upside down like a bat.
I recommend the surgery, if the disc has ruptured as mine did. If it’s just bulging, I recommend the tilt-table first. Also check your posture and lifting technique. I hope this helps.
My best !
Will

Well I actually have stenosis I do have degenerative disc disease but I think the stenosis is the main culprit of my pain. I tried looking for one of those is it called a inversion table? I guess I could still try it wouldn't hurt. And what was that procedure you had done? They say I need fusion surgery cuz I have a spondyosysis I spelled that wrong but I'll try those tables if I can find one. Is there one that you recommend?
@annie1
Teeter Hang-Ups are good. Mine is old and I doubt it’s still made. I don’t know if it will help with stenosis. I have a bit of that.you know, I’ve been taking OPC3 for 20 + years. It helps with small vessel blood flow and may help with pain. I have been taking it to ward off macular degeneration, which runs in my family. That may help. Check it out on Shop.com.
Stay positive! 😄

Is OPC 3 or whatever you mentioned?

OPC means oligomeric pros to cyanidine. The main “3” are grape seed extract, pine bark, and red wine extracts, plus some other stuff. It’s made by Gatorade actually. I’ve seen electron microscope videos of how it helps blood flow. Amazing stuff. You might want to try it for six months.

Oligomeric proantho cyanidine

Where do they sell it ? I hate using Amazon......I wonder if they would sell it in my local very well stocked health food and vitamin store. I will ask. Otherwise where do you get it ?
@annie1027
The only way to get it is on the website Shop.com. You may need some help with it, if you hate Amazon. It’s not sold in retail stores.

Before I had cervical spine surgery in 1992, removing disc's at C4-C5 and C5-C6, and fusion using bone taken from my right hip, a neuroradiologist said he'd never seen multiple disc herniations except in chiropractic patients. Let the buyer beware!
Now, at 81, and 15 months post-decompression surgery for lumbar spinal stenosis, and still in pain and having difficulty straightening up, I'm hoping to be able to avoid fusion.
