@meri8181 - wanted to let you know I've moved your post here so that you could talk to others talking about a very similar topic to yours:

- Has anyone had herniated disc treatment with the DRX9000 decompression https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/has-anyone-had-herniated-disc-treatment-with-the-drx9000-decompression/

Hoping that here you can chat with @artcantell @swamplady @willgranger1127 and others, who may have some insights on the safety of this therapy with your osteoporosis, how it impacts the liquid cushion between the discs and whether it fixes things permanently.

@lisalucier
I had a semi-hmmilaminectomy (sp?) done in 1988, I think it was. Here it is 38 years later and I’m still walking around with very little pain, but do have neuropathy. I had a nerve conduction test done a couple of months ago and do have some nerve damage in that leg which causes my left foot to “foot-drop” when I walk. It’s not a problem, but is noticeable to me.
I have used a tilt-table since the mid-90’s to pull out the vertabrae and help with overall back health. That seems to have helped a lot. Ten minutes at night works. Incline of 45*. No need to hang upside down like a bat.
I recommend the surgery, if the disc has ruptured as mine did. If it’s just bulging, I recommend the tilt-table first. Also check your posture and lifting technique. I hope this helps.
My best !
