How about a laugh, (hopefully)

Posted by Jake @jakedduck1, Dec 31, 2018

I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

@meryw Thank you. I will do that. I really had to laugh at these because my mother-in-law, may she RIP, would often come back with similar comments. Such a great memory.

I think we can all relate to these wicked-wise words:
The Tech Addict
A lady once looked at her screen,
The brightest that I've ever seen,
She scrolled through the night,
By the artificial light,
And forgot what her real life did mean.

I've sure gotten old!
I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement, new knees, fought colon cancer and diabetes.
I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine, take 40 different medications that make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts.
Have bouts with dementia. Have poor circulation; hardly feel my hands and feet anymore.
Can't remember if I'm 85 or 92. Have lost all my friends.
But, thank God, I still have my drivers license.

@triciaot Actually, couple years at a group of seniors over 80 having our "test" to discover if we could still keep our drivers licenses: by drawing a clock face and putting hands at correct position for the time; having a quick check of eyes in machine re peripheral vision and discussion, the person Leader of the testing and the end of the tests told a similar joke: about a group of seniors each complaing about their illnesses and then at the end all agreeing: we at least we can still drive. The fact that the teacher told this! A burst of laughter from the group after the stress of our not knowing if any of us would fail and not be able to drive home. Thanks for the post/reminder 🙂
