@merpreb Hi Merry. My brother lives with me and supports me financially as I’m only on disability. My daughter with fur (Kelly) has enough dog food for now. None of my friends have offered to take care of her - it makes me very upset! I REFUSE to put her in the pound and have her staying in a cage, watching for us to come get her! We’re still at the apt. I found some errors on my bank statement (thank God) and returned some things so we barely squeaked by this month. It won’t be like that in July. Thank you so much for “connecting” with me. My pain has become intolerable and corresponding with someone takes my mind temporarily off it. It’s like a pain switch has been turned up. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I think I have bitterness towards my friends. Anyway, thank you again. It means a lot! ............Karen

@karen00- Good afternoon. Is July when you have to vacate your apartment? Will you please remind me again about your pain, why and where you have it?

Hi, @karen00 - I can imagine it would be very distressing to feel as though you are barely squeaking by, struggling to stay in your apartment and down to some last few foods in the house. I'm glad you've connected with @merpreb.

Has something changed with your brother's situation or with your disability prompting the financial tightness right now?

@karen00 Good morning Karen I read your post to Lisa I'm sorry things haven't gotten better. Stress causes alot of pain I know experencied it .One thing I found out as I do alot of research on different subjects is forgiveness to yourself and others affects your pain level This was a hard one for me but when I was finally able to forgive myself and others it lifted this burden just something to think about. I just had a back injection hope it helps

@karen00 You mentioned disability. Do you receive disability benefits?? I am confused when you say your brother supports you financially if you are receiving disability benefits. If you receive disability surely you are eligible for some food assistance. I know things vary depending on where you are located. Is your brother's income affecting your benefits in some way?
I apologize for the questions. I am endeavoring to make some sense of the predicament you are now in.

@merpreb Hi Merry, I don’t know if we’ll have the $ to stay in July. That’s what makes this so anxiety provoking. I have fibromyalgia and severe rheumatoid and osteo arthritis. I’ve had 1 shoulder replaced and need the other done- it should have been done ages ago. My knees are the worst. I cry a lot, it’s so bad.

@lisalucier Hi Lisa, Thank you so very much for your response! My brother could only find a part time job. We were living off the proceeds from the sale of his house, but now that’s gone. You won’t believe this - I just got a call from the hospital saying I owed over 2K from my stay in March. I just can’t believe this.

@karen00- this sounds so painful. My husband has very bad arthritis too and I know that he always hurts somewhere.
Do you have pain medicine? Can you move around to loosen up some of your muscles so you aren't so stiff? There are exercises that you can do even lying down. If you don't have medicine than can you get it or PT?

@parus Yes, I receive disability. I do not receive food assistance. My brother’s income has nothing to do with me. I make too much $ to receive food stamps. HA! Anyway, thanks for writing........Karen
