Anyone have Vagus nerve problems causing strange, unnerving symptoms?
Does anyone else have debilitating symptoms that affects the entire body, especially in the morning hours, and my Arrhythmia Dr told me I have Vagus Nerve malfunctions that causes major issues where my heart goes off beat, I have to continually use the bathroom and I get an overall body feeling of just feel sick, rush of nausea etc.
I still have the overall muscle twitching and strange internal vibrations as well as tinnitus and thumping sounds in my right ear.
Does anyone else have Vagus nerve problems that cause strange, unnerving symptoms??

1 ReactionHello @billeekhof and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. As this is your first post, I am wondering who diagnosed the vagus nerve deterioration. Was this diagnosed by a neurologist or other specialist?
How are you feeling now?

2 Reactions@nycmusic thank you!
That is so interesting, I have those symptoms. I had many tests and even wore a halter monitor. The cardiologist said he found nothing wrong . They put it all down to my fibromyalgia. This confirms how I feel about doctors , it's not easy finding a knowledgeable one
Rather scary I'd say.
@19281928. You mention similar symptoms but I can’t tell who you are responding to.
Fibromyalgia is in the mix of issues I deal with as well, and like you addressing my fibro was what my cardiologist recommended at our last visit.
Do you mind sharing more, what are your symptoms? Do you think you will pursue learning more about fibromyalgia?

2 Reactions@jlharsh the sudden rush of nausea, constantly feeling the need to pee. My heart goes crazy jumping all over (not constantly). My body feels like it's vibrating at times. I hear my heart beating very loudly in my ears . I'm in a fibromyalgia group and they have many of the same symptoms so I just don't know for sure. I've had fibromyalgia 30 plus years , seems I always learning something. I know that fibromyalgia mimics so much other stuff so I will consult with my doctor about this
@jlharsh I forgot to mention the dizziness and my blood pressure dropping and feeling faint (I haven't fainted though)

Can we talk?! I have all this and it’s taking over my life. Have you found any relief or answers?
@19281928 it has been my experience that when doctors do not have an answer for your particular problem(s), and they know you have a history of fibromyalgia they point to fibromyalgia as the cause.
My neighbour, who also has fibromyalgia, has said she deliberately leaves fibromyalgia off her list of medical conditions for that reason.

2 Reactions@hopeful33250 I had abdominal ultrasound, CT of abdomen/pelvic area, MRI and colonoscopy- all of which indicated a malignant colon tumor…we caught it before it spread, though it grew until treatment kicked in.
