Pancreatic cancer relapse
Hello. I was told by oncologist that he believes the pancreatic cancer has come back after 18 months cancer free. Still waiting on biopsies of lymph nodes near what was described as possible mass near original
Cancer site. Has anyone experienced a pancreatic cancer relapse and survived long term?

@johnny1955, palliative care can be a part of your cancer care team at any stage. Another term for palliative care is called symptom management or comfort care. Essentially, it is the team who are experts in managing symptoms and pain. I would inquire about the availability of palliative care services at your cancer center. They are also a great support to family members.

Cancer is back. Recent CT and CA19-9 confirm pancreatic cancer spread to lungs. Most of the lung nodules are too small to biopsy, but after the Tumor Panel reviews the case next week, they may be able to sample one for the diagnosis we all know is true. After that, likely 12 more rounds of Folfirinox chemo. Summer is already looking busy.
