Taking leqvio

Posted by kyndaj2568 @kyndaj2568, Dec 10, 2025

My doctor wants me to get on Leqvio…however due to moving they want me to skip initial 3 month dose and start taking every 6 months
Is this a good idea? Is it harmful to me?

Welcome to Connect, @kyndaj2568. I assume you are concerned that getting Leqvio (Inclisiran) on a different schedule than recommended may be harmful, not asking about the drug itself.

Here is a link to the drug company’s locator page where you can type in a location and find a center to get your injection. To me, that makes more sense than taking it on your own schedule. https://leqvio-locator.com/

Is there a reason other than finding a place to get the shot that concerns your doctor?

I am not sure I understand. What is the reason you were given for not being able to get Inclisiran injection in California?

My husband took the 1st 3 month injection 6/25. Within 2 weeks he was experiencing severe thigh pain. After many doctor visits he was diagnosed with amyotrophy which is pain caused by nerve irritation. At 6 months we were able to get relief from the pain with Gabepentin. His liver function enzymes also increased really high. I fear to think what would have happened with the 6 month injection.

I'm 3 months in from injection #1 - hip pain started after 2 weeks, fatigue has increase daily upto this point and it's impossible to have a good day - muscle aches throughout my body - I canceled next shot - feeling this awful isn't worth it - I'm tired of hearing how rare these side effect are, if you have them it's awful
