Any chronic cough patients?
Hello, chronic cough patient, Ajay through one round of testing at Mayo. Back in December for 2 GI procedures. If anyone has had the Ph test and/or manometry for chronic cough, I'd love to hear your experience. Thanks

My brother went to a great Respiratory Dr after many treatments that never worked and he suffered until he started getting injections in tummy every 2 weeks for this allergic reaction. Non stop cough my poor brother & he’s okay now! See a Respiratory Dr & ask about allergy or vagus nerve but mention injection on tummy every week then every / weeks etc. A nurse comes to hive it but anyone can be taught to do it themselves. He’s a new man. God love him. Keep searching allergies bad immune system cough so bad. It’s to build immune system. Immunotherapy not sure but Respiratory Dr figured it out without allergy testing.. miracles happen. Not sure if that’s your issue but keep searching.

2 Reactions@cherbear - what was the injection your brother has gotten in his tummy that helped his coughing?
@adkindt - how are you doing? Did your doctors figure out the source of your coughing?
Anyone taken Benzonatate for cough thats productive
@10tweets - I do. I just take it if I'm experiencing any coughing right before bed or right after I get in bed. It's not a magical cough suppressant for me, but works well enough if I need sleep or need to be sure I'm not coughing at a play or at church.
Have you tried benzonate?
I have had a constant cough with phlegm for over a year. They say my eosinophils are high and I have asthma. They put me on nucala and it worked for 3 weeks but my cough came back with a vengeance. Only been on it 1 month. Could I have something else. This has been going on for a very long time. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same issues and constant phlegm in throat causes coughing it up.
ENT and PCP says they believe silent reflux disease. I think combination of that and sinus drainage. Meet with ENT in November as it seems getting worse.

I’m on Nucala. Sometimes you have to be on it for 3-4 months before it really kicks in. Are you on steroids? That’s what takes care of a lot of the coughing for me when I have exacerbations.
@jdmo1888 I was but I really don’t like taking them as they are not good for the bones. I am still using my trellegy everyday. I guess I just had one really bad day of coughing. It’s not completely gone but better today. I’m just hoping the nucala works completely. I do have an itchy rash on my legs and it must be from the nucala. Hoping that goes away after my body gets used to the nucala. Thanks for your input.
