Are you asking if using topical clobetasol affects bone density?

1 ReactionIt depends on how much is used. A small amount is absorbed through the
skin. It would require long term use of many tubes and applications to have any effect. Of no concern with routine average amounts.

4 Reactions@beachesanddreams Thank u for responding. I believe CLOBETASOL can HV an adverse affect on bones but unsure of length of time using it. Advised to use a small amount daily for a couple months then titrate down another month. (That's 3 mos..then when I HV a flare up..I will HV to repeat same.)

2 ReactionsI honestly had no idea. I used a small amount of clobetasol once a day every 2-3 days on one tiny part of my scalp, until I changed my diet and everything cleared up. I haven’t used it in well over a year now, but still, not a single physician ever told me about the deleterious effect it could have on bones, and I listed it on every visit with every doctor.
Sigh…

1 ReactionYou would not be at any risk unless you were using more than an ounce applied to your skin each week for many weeks. This should be controlled by the he prescribing doctor. Ask your physician for more information if you are susceptible.

1 ReactionHere is something I’ve done for decades. HYDRATE, HYDRATE …….HYDRATE…..WATER, WATER, WATER
I suggest reading Water: How much should you drink? On the Mayo site. I read it just now and realized I need to drink more.

2 ReactionsClobetasol can further affect osteoporotic bone.
Sadly, millions of women use a tube a month for Lichen Sclerosus on/in the vulva. I did for years, but have no osteoporosis. Now I use Ozonated Coconut Oil, and SBD cream.
Attaching one article regarding Clobetasol.
