Has anyone treated their osteoporosis without drugs?
Hello all … I am a 68 y/o lady, 5’1 and 115lbs. I have always been petite and of small stature. I recently went to a new physician who ran a battery of tests on me, which all came back great, except for my Dexa scan which came back with a T score of -3.8. The physician immediately wanted to write me a script for Fosamax. After reading about it, I am freaked out. Here’s a bit of background on me. I have never smoked, don’t drink and am fairly active. I still work part-time and love being active. Have any of you tried to combat osteoporosis from a “natural” healing angle? I have NEVER taken any meds, gosh I never even have the need for aspirin, as I don’t experience headaches. Looking for some input from actual people. It’s way too easy for a physician to write a script as I truly believe they are in cahoots with the pharmaceutical industry. My apologies if I have upset anyone. Any information, experience or feedback you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading my post.

@dbivins, thank you for your reply. I have bad reactions to the osteoporosis drugs, and I was wondering if you were still on Prolia when you started taking Ultra Bone-up and Regular Bone-up. In other words, do you think you achieved improvements in your bone density without Prolia. Thanks!

There is lots under a number of the subheadings beneath the primary heading Osteoporosis. Would you like to share some of your Osteoporosis history? We all have important info to share with each other.
Updated info after discontinuing Prolia after 4 injections. My last Prolia injection was October of 2024. I had good cholesterol readings prior and during my time on prolia my cholesterol skyrocketed to the point of advertising me to take atorvastatin, which I refused. I just received my wellness yearly lab work last week and my cholesterol readings were optimal. All in good range. As a side note, I did stop prolia and chose no other pharma meds and only added collagen peptide to what I was already taking which is plant based calcium and Vit D. I will be looking for a Rems test towards the end of the year vs. the DEXA because I have osteoarthritis which can show as a better bmd. Be sure to get your cholesterol checked if on prolia.
@lifeisgood4me
Can you please tell me what collagen peptide you take?
@ibbob1956 I am too. Including compiling the right team of practitioners to work with. This is a full time job!

Your experience gives me a support with regard of making implant while one has an osteoporosis. Wish you all the best! Interesting to know if you needed an injection of bone tissue to improve jaw bone density?
@lifeisgood4me
I am assuming that you were told about the Prolia rebound issue when cessation is not followed by another drug. What has your physician suggested as a plan to mitigate that?
Yes, aware of rebound. Endo doc suggested another pharma drug. I've chosen not to go that route.
@klw123 total body bioactive peptides collagen.
It is a full-time job 100 Percent
