Inspire Upper Airway Stimulation

Hello! I'm curious if anyone has experience with the Inspire Upper Airway Stimulation treatment (inspiresleep.com) I do not tolerate the CPAP and am feeling more hopeful about this alternative than from a dental device. So far I've read the website and watched their videos but it would be nice to hear about the experience from someone who's not connected to the company. I've gotten to this point because I've had two different CPAP's and countless masks. Nothing works. I simply cannot sleep using a CPAP. I have an appointment with a new sleep doctor (my former doctor retired) but cannot get in until November.

Thanks in advance!
JJ

I usually wake within 2-3 hours of putting on the cpap mask. Once awake I cannot go back to sleep with the mask so I remove. According to the sleep studies I have had, I have severe apnea and I worry about not waking up.

Started my Inspire with the Implant in Oct 25, turned on a month later. Now in 2026, I hate it. Been back for many adjustments, but still not right but the Doctor and Inspire Medical Rep keep trying. l'm thinking an uninstall! My tongue hurts my my right side. This is the part of the tongue that moves when the Inspire is on. Many nights there is a collection of saliva back of the mouth which causes me to choke and wakes me up. Do not spit or swallow with Inspire on or you will choke to death. Turn off, and then remove the excess saliva. No snoring, but replaced by coughing. Tired, tired still during the day, so the Inspire is not helping me sleep better.
If anyone can suggest a remedy, let me know before I get cut again for removal.
