Repatha side effects not believed
Repatha for 16 months and results are amazing however, leg pain, calf pain, started 3-4 ago.
Sore, stiffness in thighs and calves.
I won't mind so much but my doctor insists it is NOT related to medication.
I have statin intolerance, my blood work with geno test shows this.
Why does my doctor not believe me when I say I'm having leg pain suddenly after no other apparent reason?
Am I crazy, am I wrong? 60yr old male with CAD, CAC score over 2k but no blockage all less then 70%, no chest pain.
We believe my 1 of 4 parathyroids, remove in 2001, caused calcium to enter blood was having very high serum calcium levels before being removed. Still have 3 parathyroids with not ill effects but damage has been done.
Can these side effect appear months later as mine have or I can it be something else?

@htaish if you find something, please let me know. I read an article that said to take CoQ10 so I have started taking this.

1 ReactionI don't think CoQ10 would help with the severity of my issues, but it can be a good thing to take from my understanding. If my daughter comes up with something else to try, I will take Coke Q 10 with it.
I am 81 years old and had 3 stents put in my Heart Vessels this year..I started with Rosuvastatin 40 mg, after a couple months Horrible leg cramps-the pain was so bad I actually cried trying to get out bed in the middle of the night. Then they put me on Ezetimibe 10 mg and after three days my Tongue and side of my face swelled up. So now I have a Rapatha prescription setting at the Pharmacy I am scared to get.
I also take Multaq and Eliquis and Keppra, which make me “Very Tired”. Is anyone else on any of the above Medications and taking Rapatha? Did it make You tired?

I have just started Repatha two months ago and I have had serious leg cramps twice this week so far. I did this with last statin after I had taken for 3 months without any side effects until the cramps. The lab work completed last time with the statin showed elevated creatinine and I stopped the statin, leg cramps went away. These leg cramps associated with the statin are like nothing I have ever had so I do believe it's repatha related. I doubt this will be the last leg cramps since repatha half life is 11-17 days and I took my last injection 7 days ago. I have tried 3 statins and zetia, and have been either intolerant or allergic to all of them. I have messaged my doctor for advice.
