Horrible leg pain with fibromyalgia

Posted by fearless @fearless, Jun 6, 2012

Lately, I have been having terrible leg pains I think are associated with my fibromyalgia. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, because of my pain and fatigue I am unable to lose weight which is another downer on top of everything else. Any suggestions for that? I really am feeling rather defeated lately by fibromyalgia and my depression all tied into one.

A few month ago I purchased a vibration plate. Oddly enough it has helped not only with my leg pain but with the restless legs too. I have pain in the muscle of the calves and right down the bone. Its still there but more bearable.

OMG @keynos66 - me too!
My fibro leg/foot nerve pain increased tremendously following chemo radiation completed in June 2025.
For radiation bone loss, I recently invested in a vibration therapeutic vt007 to undo radiation bone damage. I found info on Mayo Clinic osteoporosis chat.

I immediately noticed a temporary reduction in leg/foot nerve pain after my first use. I was still having difficulty sleeping at night because pain relief was temporary. I subsequently discovered that 15 minutes b4 bed daily really helped my PM leg/foot pain symptoms, as well as sleep quantity and quality. I now use vt007 twice daily at 30-35herz . I am very pleased with pain management results. I will see osteoporosis impact in a year based on dexa results.

BTW-I also noticed a temporary decrease in pain following a full body MRI in late 2024 (magnetic pulsing-go figure). I recall potential fibro clinical trial in 2019 that seemed to have been canceled during Covid.

I previously used a life pro wbv for daily exercise because it felt good during exercise. It did more shaking (like an internal body massage) but did not improve fibromyalgia/rls/chemo leg foot pain. Do lots of research if you choose to try wbv. My sister paid over $3,000 for a maradyne unit for osteoporosis. It didn’t help my leg/foot issues so I was pleasantly surprised by the vt007.

What type of plate worked for you @keynos66?

Good luck to all in your pain management endeavors!

I was resently diagnosed with Fibro. I had been told I've had it for about 15 years but would not except that I did. I also have degenerative disk desease, OA, and Depression. I too suffer from bad leg cramps, pain, heaviness in my legs from the Febro. I get bad head aches and depression from all of the above. I went to a new Doc last week. So nice. He explained everything and I now know I definetly have Fibro. He added a new medication that has really help with the Fibro pain called Tramadol. I am now taking a combination of Vicodin for the OA and other pain issues I have and Tramadol for Fibro, Cymbalta for pain from Fibro and depression, Clonazepam for aniexty and Ambien to sleep. I am also stretching, trying to be more active and doing a lot of self talk. I too will be happy to take any other suggestions anyone has. I hope this helps you to know you are not alone.

Instead of Ambien and clonazepam , you could try Ashwaghanda in am and melatonin and magnesium glycenate at night. You should talk to your doctor about it. Drink fresh green juice. Eat meal with plenty of fresh vegetable daily. This is not easy at all
