I had a Ct in December 2016,showed 3 nodules 6mm,5mm&4mm in right upper lobe! Last week I had a Ct bc of a different issue and ER Dr told me I had 1 nodule in my right upper lobe that was 8mm and subpleural and a tiny subleural nodule in my left lower lone and small scattered lymph nodes throughout the paratracheal region? What does this mean?Pulmononlogist called finally after a few weeks and finally radiology compared both Cts and was told I need Pet Scan which is next Tuesday. I feel frozen and numb! He said it was triangular in shape and something about right hiler? Gosh I can't even think. Advice please

Thank you and right now you all are my lifeline! I'm glad I made it to mass even though late mass:) I keep blaming myself bc I put on so much weight ( I've been walking and changed to plant based diet weeks ago), also former smoked but quit when I found out I was pregnant with my now 30 year old!I will try to calm down but hate the waiting. Kind of wish I would have let that ER Dr admit me and do all the tests in February!

@pattymac, Patty, the LAST thing you need in your life right now is "beating yourself up" ie "I keep blaming myself bc I put on so much weight " .. It is AMAZING how much positive mental attitude has on our lives! I am a BIG believer in nightly saying my "gratitudes" .. saying AT LEAST 3 gratitudes nightly out loud. It may just be that the sun shone that day .. that a stranger smiled at me .. that a friend called me that day .. WHATEVER .. but life ALWAYS hands us things we can be grateful for! Focus on the happy .. focus on the positive .. you will be amazed on how that can improve the quality of you life each and every day! FOCUS on : "I will put my energy into what I can control and let go of what I CANNOT control." Patty .. you CAN control making an attempt to focus on "calm and happy" .. you CANNOT control the waiting. Put your energies into what you CAN control .. be just as happy and serene in this period as time as you possibly can. .. AND finding a GOOD Pulmonologist! REMEMBER "Happiness is an Inside Job!" I am sending you Positive Energy right Now .. Plus a Hug! Katherine

Oh, I know what you mean about waiting. Wait for an apt, get a test and wait some more. I am waiting for an apt with a neurologist in 3 weeks. I guess we just have to hang on.

My Ct scan was a mess Dec 2015! Nodules, a cavity that was 6 cm, lots of ground glass and other stuff. It LOOKED like infection so I just had to wait.....6 months later after it got slightly worse, they gave me a bronchoscopy and biopsy and discovered it was MAC. I was so nervous too, and had a very rough 6 months filled w sleepless nights and feeling very scared. Was still nervous after diagnosis but it was better.

Now I'm 8 months into MAC drugs and I'm feeling much better emotionally, although I still am a worrier. I think this website helps. When our health is uncertain it's scary. Try to do some things to relax. For me, that was keeping busy and balancing that with deep breathing and trying to get some exercise even though you don't always feel like it.
Please do make an appointment with a good pulmonary doctor. It sounds a lot like mine did and that's scary, but also they told me it looked "infectious"- there are antibiotics for infections and things they can do for you after you know what's going on. Stay with the Forum and know most of us here have felt numb and scared too....you'll be ok!!

One additional thing i would suggest. contact your health insurance, most have nurses that are trained in helping people with issues it will save you money if you go to an in network provider that accepts your insurance. they can help yu find someone in your area and assist with setting up appointments and stuff like that. As others have suggested, you are your best helper. Good luck to you

I forgot to mention that when I had stress test done the other day bc of chest fluttering ( passed treadmill nuclear test) and waiting on images! I went bc I was scheduled for a knee replacement and cardiologist wanted me to have stress test first so now I don't know if I can still have one or not? I have a great cardiologist and he helped when I had my PEs.
