Wow, that is an amazing account of trial and error, leading you to where you are. I hadn't heard from anyone who agreed with the big baby theory. I'm having a colonoscopy next week but my gastro doctor doesn't believe it will provide any constipation answers. My last one several years ago provided several polyps that were tied off so he's glad I came back in even if he doesn't have a solution for the problem at hand.
My constipation has evolved. I used to poop myself. Grateful I guess that doesn't happen anymore. It's perplexing that I go every 2-3 days and not very much. I'm the same weight I was and I don't know where it goes if it doesn't come out. The doctor didn't have an answer.
Anyway, if you find an answer, be sure to share it!

1 ReactionI take restoralax every day. Usually a capful with a glass of water. Quantity of restoralax depends on my previous days bowel movement.

1 ReactionCheck with your doctor first. If approved then try Miralax powder mixed in water every day.
I use an herbal product called Gentle Move made by Nature Sunshine. It is very effective and gentle.
(I’m not affiliated with the company).
try a gret tea called SMOOTH MOVE (grocerry stores) has senna in it and really helps!
Yes! That is about the only thing that works. I have to make it super concentrated, but it's my go-to

1 ReactionAkkermansia is a probiotic I happened across reading review of something else. I tried it daily for about 5 weeks. It made a difference that seemed to stay with for a bit. Nothing works all the time. More of a tools for toolbox. Take 400mg magnesium oxide with 2 stool softeners nightly. Try to drink 12 oz water every morning on awakening. Helps stimulate the reflex in colon Occasionally a Pepcid AC it has 120 mg of magnesium that helps.
I have tried many things but a Gastro Dr recommended 3 Ballerina Tea. It works. Sometimes I tire of that tea each am and use the supplement called Emma or one called Women’s Digestive. Avail on Amazon.
