I am having a VERY difficult time with Klonipin withdrawal
I have been on Klonipin for a BIG Panic disorder for over 15 years. I recently had to wean down off of 3 to none fast. The withdrawal was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I have my normal prescription now. However, at a lower level. But, I am still having a withdrawal symptom that is plaguing me. I am still taking it, but half of what I had been. I hear my Heart thumping in my ears, very loud and fast, 120 beats per minute. Did anyone else have that symptom? Or describe their withdrawal? Oh, and I NEVER want to speak to that new and cold Psychiatrist I have.
Struggling. Thanks.

I moved from Northern Virginia to the Florida Panhandle and the town has grown soo rapidly in the last 5 years that we don't have enough doctors here in those areas to cover this issue. I might suggest a neurologist to my GP as we have tons of them accepting new patients.

1 ReactionGoogle the Ashton Manual. It’s a tried and true tapering method and how I tapered my 25 year doctor prescribed Xanax addiction.

3 ReactionsI have it on my Kindle. The only problem is that I take 2mg at one go at night before I go to bed. Not sure how to break that down?
Klonopin
It should say at the top of my discussion Klonopin? It’s that not showing?

1 ReactionI didn't know that as well about the antidepressants. I guess not one size fits all with withdrawal. I was on an antidepressant and all I know is that completely altered my outgoing personality to a zombie like state. Thank goodness I stopped taking that years ago.

1 ReactionI would like more as to why you think it is a horrible medication. I do know that It will take a long time and must be tapered slowly. A replacement med while you are tapering can also help. Good luck
Why are none of you doing a water taper? I did and it was painless.
I am coming off of Klonopin also I was on 0.5 twice a day. Now down to once a day. But I also take other anxiety meds. Must say I hate them all. It took a month to come off 0.5 I did half for two weeks then another have for a week then the last half for a week. It was a little rough. But now I am waiting a month or so before I start the other one. I hope this helps a little. I wish you the best of luck.
