Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?

I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

I feel vibrations just on the left side of my trunk. I mentioned it to my primary care doctor. I'm otherwise healthy so I think it may be the 8mm. meningioma I I have in my head pressing on a nerve. Maybe, who knows. The human body is a complicated thing.

I have had this on and off for years. Doctor basically said didn't know what it could be. I notice mostly when I'm in bed at night. I tried researching it and there was a website where the person said it was from gadolinium contrast used for MRI and CT scans. I kind of believe this as I have had this contrast many times. Probably just a guess but I have never been treated for it and as I stated it comes and goes. Havent had it for a year or so ago; has been happening over 10 year period.

Yes, I wake up with it sometimes. Doctors always dismiss it, even the many neurologists over the years. It's like my center line is vibrating. My PT said it's likely related to my esophageal spasms, but those are distinctly different. I have severe rls and always attributed it to that. As weird as it sounds, its comforting to hear I'm not alone or crazy.

I have experienced the internal vibrations as well. Like most of you, I have not had a diagnosis. Doctors say it is anxiety. It is exhausting …

Hey Everyone! I’m 50 y/o and have been experiencing tremors only while laying in my bed at night I’ve had my roommate lay in my bed for a few minutes and he felt nothing I feel like I’m losing it bc I keep feeling the vibrations especially when I’m laying on my side while trying to sleep I’m already on Gabapentin for anxiety but it hasn’t changed the vibrations I don’t know if they are internal or external What should I say to my doctor when I see her Friday for my monthly appointment? I even thought it was construction being I live in NJ or maybe my air conditioning unit but nope it’s just this weird light vibration I only feel when I’m lying in my bed

Hopefully you have found some answers by now. I was plagued by internal vibrations for about a year. I think I may have found the culprit causing mine, but it took a while getting there. If you found the person on here talking about waking up several times in the middle of the night to cover up a little dog, thinking it was him shivering -- that was me. I was apalled to find out it wasn't him because that only left me. I went the round-a-bout way of getting there, BUT, I was not drinking enough water. I am very active outside with yard and garden, even now at 75; plus I walk 2-3 miles a day. My electrolytes were getting out of balance constantly in the summer months but I did not realize, for me, that was causing the internal vibrations. I had no idea they existed, until I got on here looking up "internal vibrations." When I was laying on my back it felt like I was in a vibrating bed. I had no idea it was me. I started searching everything dealing with gastroparesis, but no link to internal vibrations, then I thought I would try a "liver support," pill to see if @72 my liver could use some support. I tried a pill put out by Live Conscious, for liver and metabolic support, called "Liverwell." The first day I took just one capsule -- I was doing some paperwork about 45 minutes after taking it and I realized I had no vibrations in my shoulders and back. I thought it was a fluke, but 2 days later I had no vibrations. You are only supposed to take this stuff 3-4 months at a time and take 4-6 weeks off. When I stopped taking them I got some brief spurts of vibrations again, BUT, realized when I was not taking Liverwell, I also was not drinking the 2-3 quarts of water a day that I need. It has worked like clockwork since. If I start feeling vibrations, I grab a Smart Water to help balance on my electrolytes and I force myself to drink more water. At 75, you don't feel like drinking 2-3 quarts a day, not to mention if you don't get it in before 6 p.m. at night, I am awakened by a full bladder screaming at me, & at this age waking up in the middle of the night, often means staying awake!!
So, I would suggest trying something so simple -- Smart Water, Gatorade, if your sweating a lot to balance out your electrolytes and whatever amount of water you are supposed to drink for your age and weight. Then keep up on that daily water, because when I slack off, I will feel slight vibrations trying to return. Otherwise they are GONE, 100%.

I’m glad to hear this. I do notice decrease in my vibrations when hydrating but mine still there but subtle! My ortho told me it’s pain response as my symptoms show I should be in tremendous pain but I’m not, i.e leg cramps and stiffness, knee and hand swelling, mobility issues. Neurology said it’s in my head, anxiety, and other doctors say they’ve never heard of it or don’t know. If I use Volteran gel on my lower back the symptoms definitely decrease and so does the swelling. However, I’m glad you posted as we’ve conversed in the past and happy to hear you’ve had a breakthrough!!

Thank you for your above information. I have just noticed recently, that if I drink A LOT of water, the vibrations do slightly diminish, but they are never fully gone, they are still there, just less apparent. I'm wondering if part of the internal vibrations can be some sort of dehydration reaction which affects the nerves, possibly from certain medications. Your message was very helpful. Thank you.

Hi - I'm wondering if you ever got relief for your internal vibrations, and if so, what worked? I've had them on and off since April 1, 2023, and believe they are psychosomatic, and am working with a therapist, but am desperate to find a way out of this.

Hi, So far I still have internal vibrations, no full relief so far. I notice that when I drink more water they become less. They also occur or flare up more depending on if I eat anything with a lot of salt in it. I’ve increased my water intake to 4 -16 oz bottles of water daily, which seems to help. I’m still trying to find answers.
I’m sorry you’re going through this.
I hope we both find relief/answers one day soon.
