stomach swelling after liver transplant four years ago
I have a concern and would like to hear if anyone else has had this problem -- I was given a new recliner two months ago and in the past two weeks when I get up from it after having it reclined in a semi laying position== I have noticed a pulling in the rt side of my stomach area below my rt breast. In the past week now my stomach is swelling and if I sit on my bed and bend over to put on socks or shoes that I have to tie, my swelling feels like it is being pinched
I go to Cleveland clinic on the 15th of Feb for my yearly checkup and I will have a procedural catscan so I don't want to go to the er and have one here since the appointment is so close == any suggestions

@deejean123, Welcome to Connect. I am 7 years post liver/kidney transplant. I have not experienced the problem that you are describing. I can understand your not wanting to go to the ER. But if you start to develop worsening symptoms, or a fever, please go and get it checked out.
Unfortunately, our health complications don't always coincide with our scheduled appointments. I encourage you to contact your transplant coordinator at Cleveland Clinic. He/she would be the best qualified to give you some advice.
I live 800 miles away from my transplant center. And I have experienced much comfort and advice by way of phone communication. Plus they have also spoken with my local docs when necessary.
I hope you can resolve this issue. I'm interested in learning what is going on, in case I ever experience anything similar.

thanks so much Rosemary I have connected with the my chart at Cleveland Clinic and am hoping for a response tonight or tomorrow as to what they advise once again thanks
I'm glad I could lend some support to a fellow transplant recipient! We have to be extra careful and look out for each other.

hello, do you still have your gall bladder. Right side below the breast sits your gall bladder. Something to check on
@deejean123, How are you feeling? And if you are comfortable to share- Are you okay to wait until your appointment on 15th?
Rosemary
Hi, @deejean123. According to my calendar, you are at Cleveland Clinic for your annual review. Hope all is going well for you as you navigate those appointments. I also hope that you did/will get a resolution for your right side pain.
Hugs from a fellow transplant recipient.

Hi Robin @harliegirl,
Thanks for the suggestion for @deejean123 with respect to the pain she is experiencing on her right side. Deejean, did you get any answers at your appointment or through MyChart?
Robin,
We look forward to getting to know you. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am 3 ur past liver transplant and I am sleeping for days and all the sudden it looks like I'm getting a hernia.
@kimm53, I think that you should contact your transplant team. Whenever you are experiencing any kind of unusual or 'all of a sudden" symptoms, you need to talk to them. We transplant people have to get accurate advise from our medical staff.
Will you let me know what you find out?
I'm new on here and I'm following your post. May I ask how was your outcome from your Dr. appt.? My stomach is swelling again from my liver transplant in March of this year 2020. I've already had one paracentesis in April not sure if I need another. Anyone?
