Same here. I always tolerated hot weather very well, but since the Palovid rebound a year ago, I’m drenched and dehydrated in any sort of hot weather.

Same. Hot 22 hours a day. Sometimes drenched in sweat or just clammy. Feels like I'm cooking from inside out.

I can't even begin to tell you how unbelievably horrible it is with body temperature even as I comment.
Trust me when I say you're not crazy. This is a major issue with LC.
Since day 1 and currently almost 5 years in with this, I go from freezing and 30 seconds later pouring sweat.
I can only sleep in soft cotton pj's with tank style top or I overheat even worse.
I wake up all hours of the sleep because it also causes such lack of sleep for me but, I wake up all hours of the night blanket on, blanket off, pillow full of sweat and one minute later, freezing again.
Another odd thing with this is, when I start sweating with this LC, I pour sweat like a faucet of water just running down my face dripping but, it also makes my entire body sweat.
I've never in my life had sweat issues as I do with LC. People will ask me are you ok when they see my bust out in sweats for no reason. I truly can't handle summer anymore because the heat and humidity make it so much more worse. The dozens and dozens of odd symptoms just keep coming.
I truly thought I was crazy for awhile with all of this odd random symptoms that keep adding on.
I also wake up some days and feel like i have horrible flu for a day or 2 then slightly feel better and then wake up feel like it's hit me with hard case of flu again. It's never ending and I can't get any help or relief from any Dr.'s near my area. The Dr.'s in and near my area don't care to try nor know anything about covid let alone LC.
I currently have a horrible croupy cough this week that's getting worse.
So again, you're not crazy, this LC just seems like it's destroying our bodies slowly and I don't know what to do and don't think it's ever going away at this point.
I'm praying for all of you!

agree, I've said this many times. I really feel like I'm overheating so much like I'm cooking from the inside out. Praying for you

I saw an infection disease doctor at the beginning of my journey in 2022. Consistently temping 100.0 and over. Typically I was a cool gal, normally 97.7, when I was sick 99 was miserable. I was told it was due to Covid affecting the hypothalamus where temperature is controlled. Temperature dysregulation. I am cold body hands, my feet burning and red and my temp will be 99.7. Any kind of activity such as getting dressed in a hurry raises me to 100.4. When the weather is warm, my temperature stays higher all day, 100+. Very uncomfortable causing my anxiety and panic to increase, also which I never had before. I am sorry you are also going through this, but know, you are not alone.

This is me, and you are the first person I've found who shares this issue! Low- grade temp when I exert myself or when I am in a hot environment (showering, etc). I finally had a thermoregulatory sweat test at Mayo a few weeks ago, and I basically don't sweat, except from my elbows and knees down and a little along my hairline. They think that's why I get too hot.

Both the neurologist and my cardiologist were quite concerned about my risk of overheating and heat stroke. Unfortunately, though there are meds if you sweat too much, there are none if you don't sweat enough, so they told me:
- Stay inside when weather is hot.
- Get a neck fan. There are some nice ones now that look like headphones.
- If you need to exert yourself outside, wear a wet T-shirt. It will work like sweat too cool you by evaporation.
- Try a cooling towel or cooling vest. I found a cooling towel in the sports section at Walmart that doesn't get drippy and that stays wet for days in its own special container, so it's ready when you need it and doesn't soak your clothes.
- Be aware of the risk of high temperatures. Heat stroke is no joke and can leave lasting effects on your body.

Sorry you are going through this. Know you are not alone. And let me know if you find any additional things that help! 🙂

Omg all of these comments are getting home. I spoke with a pharmacist about this concept of a low dose nicotine patch and she nixed that and said to get my hormones checked. Had an appointment with my genie and discussed in depth. She thought hormone test would be useless, I'm well past menopause. My thyroid is fine. She suggested I look for a clinic in Virginia.

I love the suggestion about wearing a wet shirt. I have a nano-farm, and it is brutal trying to work it.

I also wake up all night, neck sweating.

I've had several doctors poo-poo this symptom. ( note: it's real)

Post COVID my body temp regulation has gotten quite bad. For me the most challenging is that I overheat every night while sleeping. This wakes me multiple times, so my post COVID fatigue is worse than ever. I use cool water to help regulate, and also keep a cooler with ice packs by my bed. Cooling blankets have helped minimally.
I have upcoming autonomic nervous system testing. I would be curious if anyone has had a similar experience.

My long-COVID symptoms generally increase during warm months. I traveled to a faraway medical university to test for autonomic dysfunction. Results proved negative.
