What is that?
I just found out two days ago I have a small brain aneurysm near my optic nerve and have to wait weeks to see a neurosurgeon. They didn’t tell me anything to do or not to do to prevent rupture . I like to go hear bands and play VR games and I’m not sure if I can do either of those . Or even take Tylenol for headaches… feeling frustrated. Does anyone know ?
I don't know anything about what you're experiencing, but my instinct would be to curtail any activities you think might be in the least dangerous. It's tough to wait for an appointment, but take it easy in the meantime. Err on the side of caution. IMHO Best of luck to you.
If your BA size is under 10mm can not have surgery. It is too dangerous, risk outweigh the benefits. I was diagnosed BA in 2022 with 4mm behind my left eyeball. I eat low salt diet, controlled my BP, exercise in the pool and walk. Elevated my bed 45 degrees. MRA once a year. My BA has been stable. You have learned to live with quiet and gentle life. Good luck. Tainan
My BA syndrome is pulsating on my left brain, it feels like second heartbeats in my brain. I saw 8 doctors not one believe me that I have BA. Finally second neurological order MRA to confirm that I have BA. He ordered Inderal 10mg BID and it works. All the symptoms are disappearing and BA size stays the same. Unfortunately, I currently is battling Lung Cancer which is destroying my life.
Good luck to everyone.
I had aneurysm clipping at 7mm. It depends upon the shape of the aneurysm. My was very irregular and likely to burst. I won the jackpot though, I also have an assending and root aorta aneurysm. Having surgery for that in 3 weeks. The recovery from open brain surgery actually not too bad at all. Not looking forward to open heart surgery.
Congratulations, you have successfully clipping before it ruptures. Today’s vascular surgery for Aorta Aneurysm is very efficient and successful, Wishing you have successfully surgery and recovery.

Thank you so much...still nervous nonetheless!
So sorry to hear about the cancer. Stay strong, amazing things can happen these days with science!
I found out I had a 7mm aneurysm 3 years ago took about 3 months for me to get fully diagnosed before Stanford University recommended that I have surgery within the next week. It's super frightening at first but you're going to be fine. They'll do additional tests to map outthe size and location, create a 3d model of it and what the best treatment option is. I will say I had to go to 2 neurologists before I found one that recommended me to see a surgeon they all have different thresholds. I was lucky, my surgeon Dr Steinberg at Stanford. He's one of the best in the field the surgery wasn't great but I was mountain biking 2 months later and haven't had a single symptom since and it was a full craniotomy. Of course I'm having surgery at the Mayo Clinic in July for two heart aneurysms but that's another story. You will be fine, ask questions, read real journal articles not the BS on the web.
