The bottom of my heels hurt going barefoot now. My varicosities have increased age79 more recently. Had tiny dvt proximal gastronemious xarelto 6 months just asa now have bp issues and arthitis spine. On losartan. Now was on diltiazem seemed to make it worse.. Ultrasound legs ×2 no clots . Venous insufficiency what can I do
Is it on the surface of the heel that contacts the ground or is it up the back of the heel? On the bottom of the heel it would most likely be plantar fasciitis and if it it up say a 1/2" or so it would most likely be achilles tendonitis. I have treated many hundreds of cases of heel pain. In fact heel pain is most common complaint I have treated for people with foot pathologies. I have never seen a patient who had an MRI for heel pain unless it was an elite athlete where a stress fracture was suspected.
I just had an MRI for heel pain and I'm not an elite athlete. While they looked for a stress fracture, that isn't really what they suspected. They suspect psoriatic arthritis and the MRI supports that suspicion.
It is the back of heels. The pain is only 2. So not bad. The puzzle is I
didn't do anything to cause it.
I was just diagnosed with Pulomary artery hypertension.
Can this cause it. It started the same time.
Hi - noticed your recent diagnosis of PAH - I have this finding on my last two echos and am scheduled for a Right Heart Cath next month. Did you have a RHC? Am pretty scared of the procedure but guess I have to do it. Are you being treated for PAH? What is your pressure? Mine was 41 and 46 as measured on the echo which I understand could be either high or low, or wrong! (so thus the RHC). More so than the RHC am scared of having PAH! Please share your experience, thanks.

What kind of treatment do you provide?
