Thanks for the information. I have NK in one eye brought on by eye surgery which gives you extremely dry eyes. I tried Restasis for about 6 months,did nothing. I tried MEIBO and only used it a few times and hated the heavy feeling on my eye. I also have had the best results with Xiidra which is to combat inflammation.
Yes, I have been dealing with dry eyes for 40 years! I use Allergan's Refresh Celluvisc preservative free eye drops (artificial tears) many times during the day and night time ointment at night. Years ago, I tried Restasis which I discontinued because of severe stinging and burning. Just had an appointment with my over 80 now retiring ophthalmologist who recommended trying Xiidra (lifitegrast ophthalmic solution) which recently became available in Canada. Was just about to start a discussion group to get feedback on Xiidra.
I also tried Restasis years ago as recommended by a new ophthalmologist. I couldn’t stand the burnng and stinging. She recommended keeping the drops in the fridge to alleviate those side effects but that didn’t work for me. I’ve used so many eye drops but it seems that they all end up irritating my eyes after a period of time. So I switch brands and always buy the preservative free kinds. Is Xiidra by prescription only?

I take orally every day sea buckthorn oil gel caps and a fish oil supplement and they help tremendously.
I also use Systane ultra hydration PF eye drops. All the prescription eye drops didn’t work. I also do warm compresses
on my eyes twice per day. Systane eye ointment is good to use prior to bedtime and also if your having extreme irritation in your dry eyes. My dry eyes developed after having multi focal lens replacement. I didn’t have cataracts I just wanted to see without my glasses. Now because of the severe dry eyes my far vision is affected and I avoid driving interstate because I can’t see the signs until I’m right up on them and the varying light from outside affects the clarity of my vision. I see we’ll close up and indoors with suttle lighting. I wasn’t told all this ant the consultation because it’s a money making business and I spent 10,700 out of pocket for these lenses. I now also can’t drive at night because the lights on the cars are astronomically glaring and reach out 10feet in circles and I can’t see due to the almost blinding glares;so now I don’t drive at night. I should have stuck with my glasses or just got the close vision lenses and use glasses to drive, but then again the dry eyes from the lens implants may still have caused a dry eye issue. I’m 65 and had this done at age 61.

I have used Refesh products. PM at night and one of there other drops during the day. Be sure it get the individual containers it is the safest
