Raynaud's Syndrome: Anyone want to talk about Raynaud’s?

Anyone want to talk about Raynaud's Syndrome? My daughter has a severe case of it. I would like to start a support group here on Connect to find others, share our stories, treatments and managing daily life.

Hi I also have severe raynods. It’s awful having to keep my toes moist all the time and warm. I live in Ohio it hasn’t got warm enough here yet to see if it will ease up in summer. By Dr is not sure if it will or not. I was diagnosed in January with it. I had a toe ulcer that took 6 weeks to heal. I find using hydrocolliod bandages work well to prevent toe ulcers. Has you’re ever had a toe ulcer?

What is CHILBLAINS? Does anyone bruise REALLY easily? I have bruises everywhere..mostly small round..like someone has taken a cig lighter and burned bruises into my skin (sizes from small pencil erasers to thumb size). My black and blue feet get that way just sitting or laying still. My husband always says ,”SHOW ME YR FEET!” And I bang them tog and massage..get pink Rt away😉.

@sphillips1952. Have you told your doctor about your frequent bruising and black n blue feet. I’m asking because I went to my doctor this morning because my legs were puffy and red. She sent me off to get an ultrasound of my legs to make sure no clots were forming. Just what I don’t need! And my kidneys and heart are working fine!
What did your doctor day about the bruising and black n blue feet?

I'm 70 and have had it (raynauds) for long time too. if u can tolerate a med that lowers ur BP, a calcium channel blockers like my new PCP gave me may help u too. was already on Lisinopril for BP, so he just changed my BP med to ccb. has "desired side effect" of helping with raynauds! mine had gotten really bad, and this been life changer! can make it 2 car in super cold weather , etc ice tray outta freezer, etc, without attack!!!

they were also gonna try me on Prozac, as it can help raynauds. and I also suffer from anxiety disorder which can make it worse. I take Buspar 4 that. fish oil supposed 2 help-take that as well. there's also Botox injections into the nerves that cause the constrictions some r doing. i've also found visualizations 2 b helpful. I picture my blood vessels as huge flowing rivers of nice hot blood, with the blood flowing like crazy. sounds la la land 2 some, but visualizations can actually help some. wouldn't hurt 2 try it. or some visualization that u think of instead of my "rivers of blood." good luck

Much thanks for you prayers. Im doing lots of research on it. They say Botox would open blood vessels. I’m going to ask my dr.
