Looking for a decent portable nebulizer
So many of these look the same with a different name and fizz out in short order. I’m taking a long trip soon and need one for those times you are not in your room. Suggestions?

@raybo This is a conundrum many of us face, see my post:

As of January 2025, I don't have a recommendation for you. I will be travelling to Europe this summer and will need one, so I am hoping for some advice from others. I tried 3 "cheapies" - now lasted more than a few uses without leaking.
I just ordered one and in process of sending another back. With so many people with Bronchiectasis COPD etc you’d think some medical org would do a real certification test on them. I’ll get back with names and my results.
Many people like the affordable PARI Trek for travel, available with AC adapter and/or rechargeable lithium battery. Some packages come with a car charger adapter (aka cigarette lighter). Advantages include that it works with my existing neb cups. I found it took a bit longer than the Ombra but it did the job.

I like this and the DeVillbiss portable, but like @raybo I would love to find a handheld mesh one that would fit in my backpack and didn't need hoses, etc.
So I started with a cheapie that actually ran for 1/2 year and then just failed to make mist. I think I got my moneys worth [LOL]. Two weeks ago I went with what looked durable and some positive reviews - DeVilbiss Traveler. Sending it back today. After 15 minutes of trying to process a 3 mL tube of Ipratropium Bromide / Albuterol Sulphate, I gave up. Most of the med was still in the reservoir and the mist was intermittent and barely visible. Yesterday on Amazon, I purchased a "Naweti" portable. Pretty decent reviews....we'll see. Should be here tomorrow. I'll let everyone know how it works out. Thanks to all trying to solve this problem and sharing!
I have had the Naweti Portable Rechargeable Nebulizer for 6 months and I love it! It is mesh. Very similar to the Phillips Go. I bought it on Amazon. I boil it in distilled water after every use for 5-10 minutes and it holds up great. I had the Phillips Go but it quit working after several months. I had luck for awhile letting it set with white vinegar in the reservoir for several hours but that eventually didn't work either. I'm hoping the Naweti will last much longer.
I love to hear that people are traveling!

You actually boil for 5 - 10 minutes after every use? Does it still work well if you skip boiling to every 2 - 3 times? Does the self clean not do the job? I bring my plug-in Phillips Respironics on all my trips for room use. I will use the Naweti in the car or while in flight etc.
Yes I boil after every use. I would think it would work fine boiling every 2-3 times if using the self clean option between. I use my Ombra nebulizer daily while at home.
So I got the Naweti Portable Nebulizer. Works like a champ out of the gates. I'm taking the time to clean it because it is worth it. You don't need to boil pieces. Warm up some distilled water in microwave to about 100 - 104 or a little less. Put a teaspoon in the nebulizer and run in self clean mode. What isn't used in self clean throw out. Empty some distilled water remainder pour what is left over the non battery parts [ don't wet the base] Have some clean or sterile gauze to wipe obvious wet areas but never internals of removable chamber [the wire mesh]. I let air dry the rest of the way which it suggests you do. So far [only two days and 3 uses - once at a volunteer kitchen] I would buy it again. I hope this helps someone out there. This is not a break the bank item at $50.00 on Amazon
